Akron Day 9 Part 1

Parts 1, 2, and 3: There's a lot to say, and even more to show. So THB has decided to show more and tell less.

Stop 1: The 5 of us return to the Blue Door, and THB is thrilled as the pastries and bread were great. The others have hot meals and share their bacon with THB.

there's plenty to share: that is the largest cinnamon twist and almond croissant anywhere
different timers depending on on what hot beverage you choose. One of the timers is letting us know when the coffee press has reached the point where you push down the filter

Stop 2:
AR is arriving just as we pull in
RR and DB are discussing what's up first. There are two houses, a cabin in the ravine behind the houses, an empty lot at one end. The house they are conferring in front of is dedicated to art and the one we tour first is where AR and RR reside when in Akron. Like many retirees they also have a place in Florida where they spend the winter.

Stop 3: we are now inside the living quarters

THB is not the only one with underwear hanging on the wall

Jun Kaneko is well known here as he taught at Cranbrook

AR: this one is for you!
we may have moved to the "art" house

Wesley Anderegg: DB and THB have two by Wesley, on from this same series (striped shirt)
Stop 3: for sure we are now in the "art" house. This is actually two separate works; the circular work has a piece at bottom missing.
THB and DB visited Mishima's studio/house in Osaka, she gifted one of the pieces like those in the bag
