Days 6-7: Bulgaria

 

Department of Annoyances (i.e., who does THB have to pay to keep from doing all these same things over and over again?) yep,  the camera to pc program has again  gone dysfunctional. Not all the pics load the first, second, third or even on the fourth try. THB has plenty of time to blog, so it is only an annoyance. THB's phone is in airplane mode so at least all those robo calls have stopped while on this  trip; one major annoyance is on holiday.

Department of Coincidences: At lunch today, we share aa table with another couple. It turns out that Tom went to Uni High School as did THB (class of 67) and DB (class of 66). Tom was class of n 65. He also spent 9th grade at Emerson Jr High (THB and DB same-same). Tom met his wife in Inglewood, they live in Vancouver WA now.

Day 6, Ruse, Bulgaria

Le picniqu depends on the  weather, no? It is raining, cold, and windy. THB and DB make an early decision and spend the day aboard the Esprit, skipping the tour of town (as did most of ship)

Book Review

Journey To The Edge Of Reason, The Life of Kurt Godel, Stephen Budiansky (read by Bob Souer, pub'd 2021): worth listening if you are going to Vienna, a fan of books about  famous philosophers, famous mathematicians,  or logicians, or THB's Highly Recommended audiobooks. Or you want to learn how to pronounce Godel (Grrdel).
