Day 19 -20 Cappadocia Balloons

Days 19-20: Cappaddocia Before and After Balloon Ride

Weather: Cool to very pleasant

Activities: Watching the balloons from the hotel; taking a balloon ride

The balloon ride was low-key, thankfully. THB, DB, SA and DA are picked up at 4:15 AYE-EM. THB and DB got lucky: there was a party going on outside SA and DA's room from midnight to one. The cost is $330 pp, 25-30 people per balloon, 164 balloons flying (flying?) and there was almost no wind,  so the balloon we were in was mostly doing small circles above the launch area, which was also the docking site. THB figures the total figure comes to $1.5Mil per day, 250 days per year (all figures highly approximated). Maybe 1,000 employees and a few lousy pastries a 350 bad bottles of some cheap bubblies.

  1. Too bad you had no wind. We did and the ride was pretty spectacular. Bob

  2. Yes, the lack of wind was actually a downer!! Guess better than too much because then the balloons don't fly at all
