More Pics of the Winter Storm Damage

Mostly what looks like bamboo has washed ashore
Arenas is walking on an "inland" beach, sand washed over the dunes

Big cliff drop-off, the highest THB has seen in 40+ years
The stranded barge in the distance is still there and intact, the river is too high to get closer

Update on The Emery
The interior of the building opposite the loft is nearing completion and the work on the park has startedd
The first building to be completed is now undergoing some updates
More work on the park. Not shown: the dog park landscaping is also underway on the far side of the buildings
Rumor has it that the colored vertical stripe and end of the road is going to be an art installation by Jim Campbell (the guy who did the video thing on top of the Sales Force building)
Art from around the Bay Area THB and DB visited and made a donation last year to AMOCA, a very nice ceramics arts museum in Pomona. In mid-April Amocca reciprocating by inviting us to join a weekend tour of private collectionns and a docent-led tour of the Saxe Collection at the DeYoung.
WHAT A THRILL!! Included were two very good meals, a chance to meet others with a similar interest in art to THB's and DB's, and pieces by artists in our collection. What follows are pics of the overlapping artists and a few that THB felt collector's envy over.

All Eyes by Stephen Braun survived 35+ years indoors, 3 weeks outdoors
The new Phil's on Main Street in Castroville: entrance is around the back. Food is the same as it ever was! THB and DB share salad and linguine with shrimp and scallops awash in a vinagrette and parmesan topping
