Fiji:: Days 2-3-4, all pics

Not too much to report that is of signific difference from last year. Food not quite as good, service a bit slower at times, warmer air and water temps. Snorkeling still excellent, Pinnacles was unbelievable for massive quantity of fish (we are going again on day 5). Stars one night, drizzled a few times. Most coral has died or in process of dying.

Sunset Day 2
Sunrise Day 3, not far from the same angle on the horizon as sunset...hmmmmm
how warm is the water? 10 months ago THB wore this jacket almost everyday when snorkeling. This time: it has stayed in the closet and THB is now wearing a short sleeved sunblock tee

future residents or future parking? hmmmm....THB ain't sure
the future has arrived: crosswalk and curb paint applied

this graffiti artist needs more experience; back to jr high school
remember when THB had a root canal?
Now the crown is in place, note the gap in the lower right area. THB will decide in a few months whether to go ahead with an implant...thoughts?

Book Review: Desolation Island (book 5 in Aubrey/Maturin series), Patrick O’Brian (novel, read by Simon Vance, pub’d 1978): combo of sea chase, sea battle, and political machinations among Americans and the Brits. Both Vance and Tull narrated the entire series, and they are so hard to tell apart that THB researched if they were one person with two names. Nope, two guys. Note: THB and DB have been to this island twice, it is in Antarctica

Fiji Day 1: same-same as last year!

THB brings his breakfast, causes a TSA agent to look in his bag
SFO Terminal 1 art
approaching NAN airport

snowy plover pic from beach...not sure why this was still on my camera

Not in show, would fit in perfectly: Goro Suzuki chair in situ in E-ville

All works donated by Cheech Marin

Tio's Tacos: faamous spot in Riverside just a few blocks from the Cheech Museum. Took a long time for our lunches to come and we got a late start back to E-ville, stuck in Sunday LA traffic

Lots of outside "folk" art

A hybrid: old style tortilla and refried beans with a new version of filling:  a chile relleno
