The river has broken through
The sanderlings convene
The dog has found her rightful spot in the household
And is emulating THB ... or...the lion sleeps tonight (and today, and this morning)

THB and DB get to test our our power outage backups: the Jackery for power and the headlamps for light. Both work well enough that we enjoy a pre-breakfast of cafe au laits and chocolate terrine with Big Sur sea salt and virgin olive oil smeared on a local baguette (toasted in the fireplace).
After breakfast the jackery moves to the garage to run the backup refrigerator.
