Installing the bridge necessitating closing the rail traffic in the middle of the night

The view of the Sherwin-Williams construction from the bridge south ramp; there will be another extension of the "greenway" project between the buildings and the tracks, mostly used by bicyclists

Department of Art: Lands End at the former Cliff House

There's a art show up now that was installed in the former Cliff House at the edge of San Francisco looking out at the Pacific Ocean. Highly Recommended. And safe! Entries are timed via must-have reservations. Even without the art, just seeing all the ins and outs and background rooms and hallways within the Cliff House restaurant is worth a visit.

THB's favorite: yes, it's an oddity. Jana Winderen's sound installation, Energy Field, from 2010. It's partway down a staircase into the bowels of the restaurant. If you close your eyes (not now, when you are at the show) it feels like you've been locked in a basement leaking water and surging water is battering the walls. Errrrrrrrrrrrrieeeeeeeeeee.

Lands End Installation Art

Sculptures made out of beach trash by Judith and Richard Lang. Their installation is in the old kitchen staging area (of course). THB and DB have a photograph by the Langs hanging at the beach.  Next 3 pics by DB on her smart phone

Eclairs? Enchiladas?

Char siu bao and egg rolls?

First pic with smart phone: no editing. THB and DB's Lang art photograph

Second pic on THB's smart phone: deer behind garage at MD: edited on smart phone

Third pic: inadvertent selfie, THB managed to invert picture taken from back to front

First time THB had seen a hawk kill
