And wet!
THB renewed his CA Driver License; passing the eye exam (his retina doc signed the form because THB was within the state vision limit - not a good thing) and did not have get behind the wheel. Let THB know if you want to be notified via text every time he is behind the wheel.
PIC of DL Deleted to prevent identity theft (thx KB)
Not a Turrell skyscapeLots of kids under 5 on the equipment at new park across the street
Image of THB's right eye, the one getting a shot every 5 weeks to reduce or stabilize the fluid. Left eye has a 30% chance of turning to wet macular degeneration at some point
Baja Update and Pics
These are a subset of the pics from the first two days in Baja. THB is having problems uploading pics from his phone and then editing them travel PC. So it goes...see Demon Copperhead book review below. THB and DB and A&T are at an all-inclusive resort in the city next to Cabo San Lucas, Cabo San Jose. Who is here? Mostly Canadians, Mexicans, and then comes Americans, prices in US dollars or pesos. What are they doing? Laying in in the sun and drinking from morning til late at night (okay, the sun sets around 6 PM, THB is in bed by 9 and is projecting that the drinking doesn't stop). Many all you can eat spots with poor food, plenty of bars, a lot of sun, a big beach. Oh, and the Sea of Cortez in which nobody (except THB and on other local) go in and get wet because the area has rumored very strong riptides.
waiting for the pre-arranged shuttle to the hotel...even a personal ride is done out of common pool of taxis and we wait 20 minutes for the 10 minute ride, cost $78 in cash, good for a round-trip except THB won't be coming back to the hotel after the cruise
the hotel, that's a bar that has seen better days on top
rules for using the pools...THB bets that in the last 10 years has not a single hotel guest has read thru the list
the herd being dragged from hotel to hotel hoping a rider shows up
Cabo San Lucas is up around the point
view from the past-it's-prime bar
if they aren't laying around drinking they are standing around drinking: drinks are included in this all-inclusive resort

Book Review: Demon Copperhead, Barbara Kingsolver (novel, narrated by Charlie Thurston): A very long read or listen, narrated in the voice of a hillbilly who suffers a non-stop series of shit-storm - his words - starting before he is even born (his dad dies while mom is pregnant) and never lets up until the last 5 pages (Hollywood ending) when Demon is around 24. THB is struggling whether this is Highly Reco'd or Reco'd; the book won a lot of awards and is basically a fictional version of Hillbilly Elegy and definitely a knockoff of David Copperfield, updated to modern times.
Book Reviw: Remain In Love, Chris Frantz (narrated by the author): Frantz is the drummer and co-founder of Talking Heads and reads a dull book in the dullest fashion; Only for big-time fans of the band
