Day 8: The last and dullest in Reykjavik yet

Day 8: Reykjavik

QOTD and Weather:

(this page left intentionally blank)

It’s a white out when THB gets up and then again in the late afternoon. Visibility such that Reykjavik has disappeared and it's only a few k's north of us and the air is clear (when not full of clouds or steam).

Breakfast of coffee cake and coffee, followed by a walk in the fields to the west of our condo. It’s a real nature path, through scruff and volcanic rock, replete with wildflowers and shorebirds.

Even though we have the picture of the trails, we're pretty sure we didn't quite follow the normal path

This bird made a "beep" like a phone tone

Trail? I don't see a trail...

Since tomorrow we migrate early to Amsterdam, the process of packing has begun.

Lunch at our local bakari, Okkar, for ham, bacon and cheese Panini (DB) and ham and egg for THB, $12.

We’re cleaning up the last of our to-do list that we’ve left until the end: visits to art museums (one closed for summer), galleries (closed for the summer), monuments (thanks for the tip, E!), and apparel shopping.

There's a large mountain behind the sculpture, we did not see the top at any time in the 8 days here
Actually, we’re going to be getting rid of our clothes, we’re moving from 10C to 30C (only a jump of around 35 degrees Fahrenheit.

Dinner at the condo, finishing up odds and ends plus a bit of smoked salmon.

Pretty damn dull until we realize they are shooting planes out of the air…add so much spice to the thrill of flying.
One of the unique Reykjavik houses: corrugated on top, old concrete on bottom
