Days 14 and 15

Day 14: On Scotia Sea heading to Elephant Island

Pic by Karen da Jager; twins are standing up longer than THB now

Weather: Fog, rain and/or low visibility, some snow

Quote of The Day:  Where’s THB?

THB and DB apply patches after returning from yesterday’s kayaking. THB fell asleep last night before 8, totally exhausted, skipping dinner. THB slept until 7 or so, ate two pieces of toast with butter and honey, had some tea, and went back to bed and slept until noon.

There was an auction for the S. Georgia fund. THB and DB didn’t bid.

Nothing else of note to report

Day 15: On Scotia Sea heading towards Elephant Island

Weather: same-same

Quote of The Day:  Where is THB?

The clock was set back an hour; THB never changed the time forward on his camera or computer. Many of you know that THB never wears a watch (closest he comes is the time on his flip phone, which THB rarely uses). That means we got up at 4:30am, which was fine because basically THB had been asleep for 30 of the previous 36 hours.

Attended a few lectures, ate breakfast, had “seasickness” room service of crackers and ice cream, and nothing else to report.
